Dr. Andrew Basta

Dr. Basta attended Virginia Tech for his undergrad where he majored in Biology with a special interest in mycology. He then received a scholarship to study dentistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). After graduating in 2003, he furthered his training by attending Coler Goldwater hospital for a one-year residency program. At Coler Goldwater, he had extensive training in crown and bridge and implant dentistry. Dr. Basta is certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry and strongly believes in continuing education to better serve his patients. His laid-back attitude and gentle touch puts even the most anxiety-filled patients at ease.


Dr. Edward Drescher

Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Certified Anesthesiologist, Dr. Drescher specializes in placing dental implants and performs advanced surgical procedures, such as extractions of impacted wisdom teeth. Dr. Drescher is certified to provide I.V. sedation, which keeps patients conscious, pain-free, and responsive to instruction.

 

Dr. Drescher graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. To become an oral surgeon, four additional years of education are required after completing four years of dental school. He trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Hospital’s Cornell Medical Center. He also completed residencies at the VA hospital and the Coney Island hospital, both in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his anesthesiology training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and trained at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

 

Dr. Drescher is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the Connecticut Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the attending doctor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. He is also a course director at the CSOMS annual implant seminar.


Dr. Jay Vuong

Dr. Jay Vuong has worked at Congers Dental Arts for 7 years as an Endodontist (root canal specialist). His purpose as a dentist is to help patients get free of pain. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and likes too many movies to list!
